It is a wet air day today but the light is so much better this past week, it no longer feels grim. Spring starts slowly, and the magic is renewed.

I need to fix the wonky cottage garden path, it’s too narrow. Putting it here for accountability.

Last year I had gladioli to the right there behind the rose, maybe this year it will be Amaranthus Velvet Curtains. I need a big container for the gladioli, huge. Maybe just a dedicated bed? They don’t overwinter and make a mess when removed so they don’t make good neighbours. The bulbs multiply! The amaranthus would bring a nice goth background to the hot pink of the rose, and it’s just an annual.
