I do like the way the air shimmers with heat in summer, briefly. Mostly I like it because of how good it makes the shade feel. It’s flat where I grew up, so it’s always a pleasure to come around the corner to mountains while wandering the neighbourhood. But it’s baking hot, so let’s go…

Full moon in Aquarius. It’s wonderful to finally see some blooms in the garden, it’s been a very strange year. I sowed thousands of poppies, but only a few have bloomed. I’ve savoured every one. Don’t tell the others, but these ones are my favourite, with those gorgeous smokey pinks and greys. I don’t remember…

Well, anything can, really, but music in particular reaches into my soul. Lately, I can’t get enough of this track: It’s a good one for recalibration, regulation, getting back to center. Best accompanied by a walk around the block. Can’t get enough shade this week, but as I wilt I’m still grateful we haven’t had…
At low tide you can walk a long way out. The crabs get bigger as you go.
