Tuesday garden tour
It is a delightfully purple year in the garden. I mean, if you’ve been here a while, you know this is the whole point. But it’s not usually this purple! This year is exceptional.

We’re in stage 5 drought which is testing the fortitude of our drought-resistant planting. But we’ve finally had some rain these past two days and they’re loving it. The pollinators have been loving the garden too, as have we.

Full moon in Aquarius. It’s wonderful to finally see some blooms in the garden, it’s been a very strange year. I sowed thousands of poppies, but only a few have bloomed. I’ve savoured every one. Hydrangeas look like they’re made of porcelain. Stars of Jasmine Tobacco open at dusk. Mesmerising tropical sunsets. Shreds of poppy. Blue stars and tendrils. Magical gladioli.
